This is because this range only features Gusti Leather products that are manufactured by small family businesses in India using traditional, handmade vegetable-tanned goatskin leather. The products in our “Gusti Leather studio” brand will win you over with their functionality and timeless urban style—very on-trend! The cowhide and buffalo leather products in this range are chemically tanned using chromium salts by certified companies in India, making them particularly stable and durable.
Gusti Leather only works with companies in India and Italy that meet international labour and human rights standards. In order to ensure the consistent high-quality of our leather products, we regularly conduct random spot checks in our independent laboratories and carry out unannounced visits to the work areas, during which compliance with contractually defined production and labour standards is checked. If these standards are being violated, we act in accordance with our zero-tolerance policy and immediately terminate contracts with these companies.
