Saddle up with our great leather saddle bags

You want to give your best friend on two wheels a very special look and really have your bike stand out? Then our great bike saddle made of sturdy cowhide in urban retro look is just right for you! Turn each of your bike tours into a very special experience!

Breaking in your saddle

To break in a leather saddle, it takes some time and endurance. First, the bottom of the saddle is generously coated with leather grease. After a contact time of approx. 8 hours, the leather on the upper side of the saddle must be smoothed, as the leather fibers stick together due to lack of moisture or aging and cause it to harden. You can use, for example, a hammer handle or vigorous kneading with the hands. Then the saddle should be broken in after half an hour (We recommend wearing old pants). Afterwards, the top is again treated with fat, which should work overnight. The next day, the excess fat can be removed and the saddle used again. If necessary, the process is repeated several times.

Leather care

A leather saddle that has already been treated and broken in should be treated with saddle grease approximately every 2 to 3 months. Usually this is enough to keep the leather soft. If the saddle is exposed to strong moisture, the leather must be greased again after thorough drying with leather care.
